I am a humanistic counsellor trained in the Person-Centred Approach.
My focus is on you, the client, and the relationship we build together. Person-centered counselling, is a type of non-directive therapy, rooted in the belief that you have an innate capacity for growth and self-understanding, and that with the right therapeutic relationship, you can work through your challenges and move towards greater well-being.
Through life experiences and subsequent counselling, I have developed a keen interest in talking therapies and their benefits. I am trained and qualified with a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and a member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors & Psychotherapists) and am DBS checked. I regularly attend Continuous Professional Development courses to ensure that my practice is informed and effective.
Examples of my areas of Experience: Anxiety, Terminal Illness, Cancer treatment (pre & post), Self-esteem, Depression, Grief, Family Issues, Loneliness, Stress, Relationship issues
The relationship between client and counsellor is at the very heart of the process of healing.
I initially offer a free 20-minute consultation via phone or Zoom to help us explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
Sessions then are £65 for a 50-minute appointment.
